2011 stats: Hawkins missed the 2011 season after tearing his ACL in practice.
Position on the depth chart: Hawkins did not appear on the depth chart coming out of the spring, but he is healthy and participating after missing last season.
2012 projection: Hawkins has battled a concussion and the ACL injury during his career and now he finds himself deep in the depth chart at tight end. Being a senior (already has his degree), he brings leadership to the huddle. However, with several athletic players battling for playing time, he will have to work hard in order to get on the field and attempt to catch his first pass as a Bull (0 career receptions). Look for him to come in late in games if the score is out of reach and hopefully he gets that first catch.
