Five Key Match-ups for USF vs. UTC

Let's see who will have some of the biggest individual match-ups to watch in this game.
While every player is key to the victory of the game, there are important individual match-ups that will be fun to watch.  Here are the 5 key match-ups we will be watching in this opening game.

UTC QB Terrell Robinson vs. LB DeDe Lattimore - Robinson is a very athletic quarterback that can do some damage with his legs. It will be up to the USF front 7, especially the talented linebackers, to contain him and get pressure. Lattimore continues to get better with every season and is poised for even bigger numbers this season. Look for him to make a living chasing Robinson down the entire game. Split end

Marlon Anthony vs. USF secondary - Anthony is a big time receiver and stands at 6'5"the UTC. The Mocs will use him in the split end position, coming out of the backfield, providing different looks for the USF secondary. The Bulls have a few new faces in the secondary with Montgomery, Brown and lost Young and Washington from last year's squad. It will be interesting to see how they handle a big target in the first game of the season.

LB Shane Heatherly vs. Demetris Murray - Heatherly is one of the Mocs top linebackers and will be patrolling the middle of the field. He will have to contend with Murray who is expected to carry the load this season at running back. Murray has surprising power and a nice burst of speed when he breaks free. It will be interesting to see if Heatherly can keep up with Murray and if he will be able to stop him at the line before he can get going.

S DJ Key vs. Evan Landi - Key is a solid starting safety for the Mocs and stands at 6'. He will have a hard time matching up with Landi who should have the size and weight advantage in this match-up. Key will come up in the box and will have to help cover in the passing game due to the number of weapons the Bulls have. Landi is poised for a big year in his senior season and matching up against an undersized safety is a great way to start the year.

CB Kadeem Wise vs. Sterling Griffin - Wise has 8 career interceptions over his career, making him one of the most dangerous ballhawks for the Mocs. He will be covering Griffin in this game, making for great match-up. Griffin is the Bulls most experienced wide receiver and after returning from injury last season should be set for a big year. Look for Griffin to win this match-up due to his speed and could come away with a big game.
