The USF women's soccer team got a goal late in regulation and held on against a furry of shots as they notched their first road win over UCONN in school history, winning 1 to 0. The Bulls are now 7-4-2 (3-1-2) on the season after this impressive win.
The ladies were on the ropes for most of the game. The Huskies out shot the Bulls 21 to 6 in this game, dictating the pace. Yet, despite the shots, freshman goalkeeper Christiane Endler came up big with 7 saves, locking it down for the USF defense. The goal for the Bulls came in the 85th minute off of a corner kick, Marsha Harper got the assist and Sarah Miller put it through for the Bulls to win it late.
After a few games and numerous ties, the Bulls were able to break through and notch a huge win against a tough team. The Bulls will next face Providence on Sunday at 1PM.
