Bulls Targeting Sousa

The Bulls are in looking to add another quarterback to the 2011 recruit class and rumors are they are going after Kevin Sousa, a Wake Forest commitment.

Sousa (6'3" 225-pounds) is a 3-star quarterback prospect out of Lake Nona High School in nearby Orlando, Florida. Sousa is a big, strong quarterback that also has incredible speed, running 4.69 in the 40-yard dash. He has passed for more than 2000 yards and rushed for over a 1000 in his senior year (according to Rivals.com).

Sousa has long been a Wake Forest commit, but USF has been talking to him and he plans to actually visit this weekend for an unofficial visit (according to Scout.com). He also visited Miami last week.

Sousa is similar to Jamius Gunsby the Bulls recruited last season, another big, strong quarterback, but Sousa seems a bit more polished in his passing motion and could be a great pick-up if the Bulls are somehow able to get him to change his mind and commit to the Bulls. The Bulls dropped the offer to Steven Weatherford, so they are trying to get at least one more QB on campus.
