Clarke Liking USF

The Bulls are still working hard on the recruiting trail and a wide receiver they are heavily interested in is Devin Clarke (from Scout.com). Clarke, a 3-star recruit, is a talented receiver that could be an instant impact player for the Bulls.

Clarke (5'11" 165-pounds) out of Sebring, Florida is a talented, fast receiver. He has had 3 straight seasons with over 1000 receiving yards and has 50 career touchdowns. He is a speed demon that can fight for the ball and leave people in the dust.

He recently visited USF and has been quoted (by Scout.com) that he gave his visit a "10 out of 10." He was impressed with everything on the visit, which is a great sign for the Bulls as they try to sure up their first official recruiting class under Holtz.

Clarke would be a nice fit in the system, giving Fitch another weapon at slot receiver and in the return game (Lamar won't be here forever). He has offers from Louisville, Mississippi, UNC, Tennessee, and Texas Tech among others, but he holds USF as one of his top favorites. There is not set date for his announcement (probably signing day) but keep any eye out for his young star.

  1. I believe I heard he will be a sign and place. He doesn't have the grades to qualify.

  2. I've been trying to locate that information (official information), but can't seem to find it, which not surprising at this point. He would be a great signing but if he doesn't meet academics, he won't be here. He will have to go JUCO route.

  3. The information was from Josh Newberg.

  4. If he has academic issues then the information can't be released officially or legally from a school.
