Ladies Get 1st Big East Win

The USF ladies got their first Big East win of the season with a 68 to 64 victory over Seton Hall in the Sun Dome.

The Bulls were led by Andrea Smith who had 22 points (9-21 shooting though). Carn had 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks, Grant had 9 points and 7 rebounds, Bernard had 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Wynne had 7. The Bulls came out on fire, shooting 60% for early first half, but went cold after halftime and allowed a late Seton Hall run before sealing the deal.

The ladies are now 10-11 (1-6) and ended their 7 game losing streak. They next hit the road to take on a tough Syracuse team on the 29th at 1 PM. Fernandez will be happy with this win after playing sloppy for so many games in a row. Let's see if the ladies can build some momentum after this win and get back to the normal winning ways.
