Clavion Nelson Commits to USF

From Greg Auman - The USF recruiting weekend heats up as defensive end Calvion Nelson has committed to Coach Skip Holtz for the class of 2011.

Nelson, 6'4" 225-pound defensive end, rated a 3-star recruit according to Rivals.com, helps give the Bulls a potential force on the defensive line. With Craig Marshall heading to the NFL and the youth on the line with Giddins, Forte, and company, the Bulls needed to add depth to the position and Nelson helps fit that need.

Nelson has a large frame and nice explosion off of the line. He will probably redshirt this season and add more weight to deal with the large offensive tackles in the Big East but he could be a big time player in the very near future. This is a great signing for Holtz.

The Bulls could have more commits after this weekend, so stay tuned to any more updates as they come in.
