What can I say, it wasn't the big time offensive shootout everyone was expecting. The Ducks couldn't get their offense going, the running game was simply terrible. The offensive line was beaten up by the Auburn front 4 and Darron Thomas of Oregon was hesitant early in the game. The Ducks shut down Newton on the ground, but bad reads in the defense gave up big time plays and eventually led to the game winning field goal.
I like the Ducks and was pulling for them. Auburn is simply a dirty team. I am sure I will catch hell for saying that but it is the truth. Wait in three years and see what happens with Cam Newton. Nick Fairley was throwing punches in the pile, another Tiger was throwing knees into a Duck player's side, so they are a classless team and I stand by it.
Now back to USF news, a team that has class and a bright future ahead!
