Bogan looks to make an impact in the NFL. |
Wide receiver Dontavia Bogan was the best offensive player the Bulls had this season. Catching 46 passes for 673 and 6 touchdowns, even after missing 1 game with an injury and the inconsistent play at quarterback, Bogan was still the best deep threat the Bulls had and showed everyone he could matchup with any cornerback in the league. Now as he heads to the NFL, Bogan is looking to make a major impact early.
Bogan is another USF Bull looking to make a big impact in the NFL. Over the past few seasons, the Bulls have had great draft selections and instant impacts in the NFL. From Nate Allen and Jason Pierre-Paul being taken in the first round and getting chances to start, to George Selvie and Jerome Murphy being late picks and getting playing time, the Bulls continue to make their name in the draft. Bogan is hoping to follow their lead and has a great chance of being a mid-draft pick.
Bogan, 6'1" 188-pounds is projected at this point to be a late round draft pick, probably around the 5th round. Bogan is already working out and play in one of the many senior bowls hoping to show his abilities to the NFL scouts. Bogan is a very fast receiver, able to play deep down field or can play over the middle, sideline to sideline. He has good height and a solid frame. Bogan is very physical as well, battling defensive backs for the ball, using his hands well. He is a great return man and will help out in special teams. He projects as a slot receiver, but can matchup with any defensive back in the NFL and make a big play.
Bogan will be drafted and will probably play very early in the NFL. He is a very fast and able receiver that was the best target for the Bulls all season. The Bulls will miss his ability next season but are proud to see another USF great player head to the NFL and a great future career.
"Probably fifth round." Was worried that was a complete guess for a moment.
ReplyDeleteCould go higher or lower, tough to call, not even sure if the NFL will be around next season with a potential lock out on the way.
