UCONN Has a New Head Coach

The Big East has a coaching carousel it seems and it continues to spin around as the UCONN Huskies have hired former Syracuse head coach Paul Pasqualoni to take over after Randy Edsall ditched them for Maryland (not a class act anymore, couldn't even fly back with the team after the Fiesta bowl).

The 61-year old coach was 107-59 in his tenure at Syracuse, going to a few bowl games, but seemingly underachieving his entire time there. Since 2004, he has been in the NFL, most recently with the Dallas Cowboys.

The UCONN fan base doesn't seem to thrilled about this signing and rightly so (could of had Whipple from Miami, at least more offense there). Pasqualoni is a solid coach and is a native of UCONN, so he is returning home.

This really doesn't mean much for USF, but perhaps a few recruits that have committed to UCONN that are Florida natives may take a second look at USF and decide to reconsider where they are heading. The crazy world of the Big East continues to roll on.
