Running back Willie Davis is still solid in his commitment to USF (Picture credits: www.rivals.com) |
USF recruiting is starting to heat up now that the college football season is officially over. Running back Willie Davis, a verbal commit for months now, will be visiting this Saturday (January 14th) and is still solid on his commitment to USF.
Davis, 5'11" 190-pounds, a fast running back. He runs a 4.6 in the 40 yard dash and has a 27" vertical. Davis can either be a physical runner up the middle, but is more suited to break out to the corner for big gains. With Mo Plancher graduating and Demetris Murray and Marcus Shaw on the depth chart, Davis has a chance to make an impression when he enrolls in the Summer.
The Bulls have Darrell Scott, who has been practicing with the team since joining the squad last year and Dontae Aycock, who is rehabbing after knee surgery and will be ready by the fall. Both have not played in a year in a actual game, so the Bulls are not sure what they will get out of them early in the season. Davis may redshirt his first season or could be moved to wide receiver like Lindsey Lamar and Joel Miller have done.
