The rough basketball weekend ended last night as the USF ladies fell to #8 Notre Dame 68 to 76.
Andrea Smith once again led all scorers with 20 points and twin sister Andrell Smith had 15 points. McDonald had 14 points, but no other USF Bull had over double digits. The Bulls had the offense going and played well, but the Irish were just too much for the Bulls.
The Bulls are now 10-13 and 1-8 in conference play, putting near the very bottom of the league. It has been a rough season for the ladies as they won't make a postseason birth for the first time in a few years, but the team is still fighting and working hard (unlike another basketball team at USF). The ladies are back in action on Tuesday night as they take on Georgetown. Let's hope they are able to regroup and come out firing in this game.
