Bulls Fall 87 to 61, Season Over

Ouch. The Bulls lost tonight 87 to 61 in the worst defeat of the season. The Bulls finish the 2010-2011 season at 10-23 and enter an off season where they hope to answer questions and improve.

The game started slowly for the Bulls. The Bulls couldn't hit a shot and were down early, but they rallied and were close until half time and an unexpected injury took out Crater. Crater went down with a severe shoulder injury and did not return (had 1 point and 2 assists at that point). With Crater down and no experience on the bench at point guard, the Bulls were down and were blown apart in the second half.

Gilchrist had 16 points. Famous had 10 points in his final game as a Bull. Noriega had 12 points as he continued to shoot well, but limited due to foul trouble. Robertson had 8 points and Poland had 5 points. Heath used Burwell at point guard for 44 seconds, before putting in LaVonte Dority (2 points) and Shedrick Haynes (3 points, 2 assists) at the end of the game. The loss of Crater hurt the Bulls and the offense simply hit a brick wall and got pounded by Cincinnati. Anderson also had 4 points as well.

The season is over, but there is a ton to talk about. I will be bringing you post season grades for each player, a recap of the season, an update on recruiting, the state of Heath's job, the new Muma center, and anything else around the team as they put this rough year behind them and get ready for next year.
