(Rivals.com) The Bulls landed two commitments for the class of 2012 yesterday, but are still busy on the recruiting trail. USF has offered defensive end Sheldon Rankins of Covington, Georgia. Rankins (6'3" 260-pounds) is a freak athlete that is starting to get a ton of attention. He plans on visiting UNC and then taking a visit to USF. He has several offers in hand and will continue to get a ton of attention. Rankis runs a 4.6 40-yard dash and has a 34" vertical, numbers that are simply off the charts for someone his size and he will only continue to improve.
Check out the tape of #55 as he causes havoc for opposing quarterbacks and is able to get off blocks and stop the run easily. He has a great first step and uses his hands well. I am hoping that Holtz and company are able to get this kid to commit, he could be a very special player.
