Bulls Land Two 2012 Commits

The Bulls picked up two commitments today (via Josh Newberg on Twitter). The Bulls received verbal commitments from athlete Rayshawn Jenkins and defensive end Ryan Brown.

Rayshawn Jenkins (6' 190-pounds) is a stellar athlete out of St. Petersburg (Admiral Farragut Academy High School). Jenkins has played primarily quarterback, but projects as either a wide receiver or defensive back on the college level. The Bulls added a few receivers in this year's recruiting class, so Jenkins will move to defense. According to Greg Auman, Jenkins says he will play free safety while at USF and even compete in track. He is a fast athlete, that if and when he does sign next year, will be a huge pick-up (great job to keep the local kids here as well).

Defensive end Ryan Brown (6'5" 240-pounds) out of Archbishop Shaw Jr. High School in Louisiana is a speed rusher that could either stay at defensive end or move to linebacker because of his speed. Brown runs a 4.7 in the 40-yard dash (via Scout.com). He will help add depth and playmaking ability to the defensive line that is full of talent but could use some more depth.(Josh Newberg, 247sports.com)

Also today (via Tampabay.com) the Bulls picked up a preferred walk-on in Michael York, an offensive lineman from Plant City. York, the 6'2" 330-pound offensive lineman, did not sign with any team during the recruiting process and will walk on to the USF program. With his size, he will add some great depth to the Bulls young and inexperienced offensive line.

Busy day for the Bulls, but exciting news for the team as they get a break during Spring break and return to get better in practices.
