Time to take a break from basketball talk and get back to football and the never ending recruiting. USF had a visitor this week and made a verbal offer as well. Sophomore Leon McQuay, from Armwood High School, paid Holtz and company a visit and came away impressed and with an offer.
The 6'1" 177-pound outside linebacker is one of the fastest rising stars in the area. McQuay runs a 4.57 40-yard dash and has a 32" vertical leap. He is incredibly fast and athletic and will probably move to cornerback when he reaches the college level due to his speed and ball skills.
McQuay is starting to get a lot of attention. Florida and Vanderbilt have already offered him and now USF has done the same. McQuay is sure to get a ton of offers before he even hits his senior season in high school, but it is a great move by Holtz to make an offer and leave a lasting impression on the young man.(Rivals.com)
