The Bulls were hammered last night by the Gators in front of a sell-out crowd in the new baseball stadium. 3,211 fans showed up last night to watch the Bulls try to get a little revenge against the Gators, but instead saw them get beaten down 8 to 1.
The Bulls offense was nowhere to be found last night despite solid pitching (something that is all too common with the Bulls). Freshman James Ramsay continued his hot hitting by launching his second career home run, keeping his streak of at least one hit and one RBI going for the 7th game in a row. Ramsay hit his first career home run against the Gators in the opening series of the season (he seems to like the Gator pitching staff). But he was the only one that actually brought his bat last night as the Bulls were shut down.
The Bulls sit at 5-7 now. This is not a terrible record, but they will have to get the season turned around before they get into conference play. The Bulls will host Evansville this weekend, starting the series off on Friday night at 7 PM (double header beginning Saturday at 4). Before you run off to Spring Break, make sure to pack the baseball stadium and cheer for the Bulls as they try to get back on track!
