The USF coaching staff is hard at work, scouting players and making offers as the Bulls continue to pick up steam in recruiting.
The Bulls have offered wide receiver Ricky Jones (Rivals.com). Jones, the 5'10" 170-pound receiver out of Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida, is a fast receiver that can has the potential to be a big time game changer. Jones runs the 40 yard dash in just 4.45 seconds. He is very elusive and has incredible speed in space, making him an ideal weapon in both the return game and as a slot receiver. He needs to add some weight to help build strength and endurance at the college level, but his speed and ability to create make him a huge weapon.
The Bulls have also offered defensive end Tyriq McCord. McCord (6'3" 209-pounds) is a fast rising star that is starting to attract a lot of attention.
The defensive star our of Jefferson High School here in Tampa has already attracted attention from Florida, USC, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, and Miami (USF just another team on his growing list). McCord runs a 4.76 in the 40-yard dash and has a 32" vertical. McCord is an incredible athlete that can either play linebacker or defensive end at the college level (will have to add weight to play on the defensive line). USF will have its hands full trying to get Mr. McCord to stay at home with so many top programs recruiting him. Let's hope Holtz is able to put up that fence and keep the other teams away from the local talent.
