It's senior night for the Bulls and only one senior will be leaving the program after this season (someone else could leave, but right now, it appears everyone is returning). Forward/Center Jarrid Famous will be suiting up for the last time at home tonight and will be leaving behind great memories in just his two short seasons with USF.[keep reading]
The JUCO-transfer from the Bronx, New York, Famous made an impact last season, averaging 11 points a game and helping give the Bulls a strong inside presence in the paint. The 6'11" 240-pound senior became a consistent scoring threat and helped dominate on the boards as the Bulls made noise with a 20-win season.
This season, however, Famous has not been as consistent and has seen his playing time reduced due to the rotation of big men Coach Heath prefers to use. But despite the lack of playing time, Famous has still produced. Averaging 8.7 points per game and bringing down 5.4 rebound per game, Famous has been a solid player both while playing center and matching up with athletic forwards. Famous has always had an excellent game around the rim and has worked on his shooting, making him a very versatile weapon for the USF front court.
Even though this season is one to forget, let's not forget the hard work by Jarrid Famous. He has been a great player for the Bulls, given us great effort and memorable highlight dunks as well. So, thank you Jarrid Famous. The USF nation appreciates everything you have done for us, now go out there and get that last home win!
