New Spring Depth Chart

Wide receiver is not listed as a starter in the final Spring depth chart.
The 2011 final Spring depth chart has been released (from Greg Auman). This is the final look at the roster before the Summer and Fall workouts begin, but give us a chance to look at the team after the Spring, see where players are progressing, and what we can expect heading into the Fall.

Wide receiver - It is very interesting to see Terrence Mitchell move ahead of Sterling Griffin. Griffin is healthy, but had a fair amount of drops in the scrimmage games, so either Mitchell is really that far ahead of Sterling or it is to simply send a message. Griffin will be on the field all season, but for now, he is looking up at a freshman. AJ Love is still not listed, but will be healthy entering the fall, same with Lamar.

Quinterrius Eatmon, a freshman, seems to be entrenched at the right tackle position ahead of Damien Edwards who got a lot of playing time last season.

Reshard Cliett is listed as a starting linebacker after the different personal groupings this Spring seemed to yield nice results.

Chris Vernon is still ahead of Justin Brockhaus-Kann for the starting punter job as well.

  1. I hope that Sterling getting supplanted by Mitchell teaches him that the spot is not granted. I expect a lot more out of the receiving corps this year. I hope BJ spends extra time with his offensive mates besides practice to work on so kinks...

Mike is there anyway that you could get more info on how exactly he's doing, if there were any further injury to his knee?

  2. Hey it's Matt, I posted this one earlier. Love is fine, they have held him out of contact drills for the most part this Spring, all part of the rehab process. He should be in full gear come fall, just slowly working him back into the process.
