The Bulls were in action today against Seton Hall. The ladies saw their 10 game winning streak come to an end to the Pirates in game one of the double header, but the ladies got back to the winning ways in game two, pounding Seton Hall 9 to 0.
Sara Nevins was dealing tonight, going 6 strong innings, giving up just 3 hits and striking out 8 as she got her 11th win (leads the team now). The offense struck early and often in this game. Sara Medina was 2 for 4 as she finally got back to hitting (has been in a bit of a slump for a little bit). Janine Richardson was 2 for 4, including a 3 run blast.
The ladies improve to 28-16 (8-1) and will face the Pirates tomorrow at noon for the end of the series. They will face UCONN next weekend back in Tampa.
The baseball team got a much needed win this evening as well, beating Seton Hall 4 to 2. Randy Fontanez picked up his 4th win of the season as the Bulls improve to 16-17 (6-4) on the season.
Jonathan Koscso was 2 for 4 and Andrew Longley was 3 for 4 as well as the Bulls got timely hits and took advantage in this contest to improve in conference standings and get closer to .500 on the season.
The game tomorrow has been moved to 1 PM due to weather in the area. Hopefully they are able to get this game in and finish the series on Sunday before returning to Tampa to take on Stetson on Tuesday.
