The USF ladies finished the sweep today with a 4 to 1 win over Georgetown.
The ladies got on the board early in the contest, sparked by lead off hitter Gina Kafalas, who continues to get on base and move the offense. Sarah Nevins came in late in the game to close it out as the ladies improve to 27-15 (7-0). They are in the midst of a 10-game winning streak.
The win improves the ladies to 7-0 in conference, their best start in Big East play since 2006 when they finished the season 17-3 in Big East and won the regular season title. The ladies are hoping they can duplicate that and continue this great winning streak.
The Bulls will be back in action as they take on Rutgers for a double header in New Jersey (yes, the fighting Snookis). Rutgers is just 16-21 (4-5) but will be looking to end the winning streak for the Bulls. After that short series, the ladies will take on Seton Hall for a 3 game set on the weekend. Seton Hall is 12-42 (0-11) so we don't want to fall asleep in that match up and give them their first wins in Big East play. Great job ladies!
