USF continues to recruit local talent and has extended a verbal offer to Lakeland tight end Kerwin Harrison (from Scout.com).
The 6'4" 230-pound tight end out of Kathleen High School is a fast rising start that is now on USF list. Harrison is a big body that has solid hands and can help a passing game by stretching the field with his size and can help stay in and block at the point of attack.
USF is the 6th school to offer Harrison, joining FAU, FIU, Iowa State, Louisville, and Rutgers.
Check out some game footage of Harrison. The Bulls lack a big time tight end to help open up the passing game and fit the Todd Fitch offense. With Shields close to graduating and no other player rising up fast at the tight end spot, the Bulls need a weapon at the position and Harrison could fit the bill.
