USF Offers 2012 Offensive Lineman

Coach Holtz knows that the key to a successful football program starts in the trenches and can be won or lost by the offensive line. USF recently offered offensive guard Jordan Watson in hopes of adding another big start to the USF offensive line.

Jordan Watson (6'4" 285-pounds) is a fast rising star out of Fayetteville, Georgia (Whitewater High School). The athletic guard runs the 40-yard dash in 5.3 seconds, runs the shuttle run in 4.85 seconds (shows his quick feet), and has a 27" vertical (not bad for a big guy).

Watson has received a lot of early attention and continues to rack up the offers. He now has offers from Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Mississippi State, and now USF. USF got plenty of depth in the last recruiting class on the offensive line, but still needs more depth at the guard position and Watson fits the bill.

  1. Feels a little weird offering and getting so many guys out of Florida. I remember Leavitt had a team one year with 95 out of 115 players from Florida. Better or worse? I have no idea. It's just a bit surreal.
