USF Basketball to Get Transfer

Martino Brock is transferring to USF.
From Adam Adkins - Stan Heath and staff will welcome a new player to the USF basketball family soon. Guard Martino Brock, who has played the last two seasons with South Alabama, a Division I program, has verbally committed to the Bulls and could begin taking classes on campus starting on June 27th.

The 6'5" 200-pound shooting guard out of Memphis, was the leading scorer for South Alabama (part of the Sun Belt Conference). Brock averaged 14.2 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game as well. He added 45 steals as well.

As Voodoo 5 pointed out, Brock is a very athletic player that can drive to the basket and create his shot. This consistency and three point shooting has increased since high school and he should provide Heath with a strong weapon.

Brock will have to sit out the 2011-2012 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but will have two years of eligibility left afterwards. Brock seems to be a solid replacement player once Hugh Robertson graduates next season and will be a nice addition on offense.
