Armando Sanchez Moving Back to LB?

It appears that Armando Sanchez is moving back to linebacker. (Picture: www.tbo.com)

From Adam Adkins (Twitter) - An interesting note is coming out of USF practice today. Fullback Armando Sanchez, the 6-0 216-pound special teams standout, had been moved to fullback to start the Spring, but according to coaches, he is moving back to lineback.

Sanchez totaled 20 tackles last season, all on special teams, and had made the switch to fullback to help fill a huge void in the backfield, but due to comfort level, it appears he is returning to his natural position and it is probably for the best. He has been slowed down in Vero Beach with a hand injury, although it is wrapped up and he is practicing today.

Freshman Tye Turner, originally recruited as a tight end, is playing and progressing well at fullback and could win out the starting job over Chris Breitt and others. At 6-3 264-pounds, he has the size needed to fill in at fullback and still has enough skill to be a threat in the passing game if the Bulls chose to throw to him.

We will have plenty more news and insights from the practice later tonight.
