Sterling Griffin is start to shine early in the Fall camp. |
Updates from Greg Auman - Despite the bad weather all across the state, the Bulls were able to get into their pads and get a full practice in this afternoon after a rain delay. They had a walk-through his morning and a gym session and then strapped up and got to work.
The Bulls worked hard on their passing attack after looking rough the last day in 7-on-7 drills. Sterling Griffin made some outstanding plays along with Victor Marc and Isaac Virgin (both expect to see a lot of playing time this season).
Curtis Weatherspoon continued to work with the 1st team linebackers, lining up with Barrington and Lattimore. Don't be surprised if he isn't the starter on opening day with Cliett chasing right behind him for playing time.
Walk-on DE Rony Delisca sat out practice with his hand in a cast. There was no word on the extent of the injury, but it is something to worry about with only 5 defensive ends on the roster that have any experience.
An interesting note is that senior guard Chaz Hine took about 25-snaps at center, working on the offensive line. I have mentioned before there is some troubles with depth behind Kevin McCaskill. Redshirt Austin Reiter is suppose to be the back-up, but there is not much experience there so the need for other players to have experience will be key in case something happens to a player.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the week.
