From Adam Adkins - There has been a lot of talk about offensive tackle commit Reno Henderson and whether or not he is actually a commit to the Bulls. Some recruiting sites have him listed while others don't, so something has to give. Well finally last night the issue was cleared up, he is not a USF commit (at the moment and probably not down the road).
The 6-4 245-pound tackle out of Vanguard High School (Ocala, Florida) stated he was a verbal commit to the Bulls, but the coaching staff didn't state much on the verbal commit. News came out last night that Henderson has not made the test scores needed for USF to accept his commitment and his recruiting is wide open once more. Miami and FAU have been reportedly interested in his services.
I honestly never had Henderson as a commit to USF and it seems the coaching staff felt the same towards the young player. It has nothing to do with his playing ability, but when a player makes a commitment to a program that may not have extended an official offer, it makes it hard for the program, especially for USF and its limited scholarships, to accept him. Now with test scores not meeting expectations of USF and the program, chances of him coming to USF are nearly zero at this stage.
Henderson will continue his recruitment and the Bulls will look to finish their recruitment class of 2012 (only a few more spots to fill up).
