Number 4: The team singing the fight song after the Rutgers game
It was a milestone night for the Bulls. Coach Holtz was looking for his second conference win with USF, coming off a victory in Cincinnati. The Bulls hadn't beaten Rutgers in their last three meetings, and the Scarlet Knights had a habit of spoiling USF's season. USF would not be denied, however, on this Wednesday night game, chasing the 100th win in program history.
After a game filled with bizarre highlights, Holtz rushed the Bulls to the student section's end zone and faced the players toward the crowd. He led them in singing the USF fight song, accompanied of course by the group of students who stuck around and knew the words. This moment is so high not only because of the long-awaited victory over Rutgers or the 100th win in program history, but because it was this moment that showed the kind of brotherhood in the program that Holtz runs.
