Coach Kiefer was all smiles last night when he heard the news of another late transfer joining the squad. |
From Greg Auman - George Kiefer got some great news the last night when he heard that there would be a new addition to the team for the start of the season.
The Bulls landed a very late transfer to the roster. 20-year old midfielder Roberto Alterio from Venezuela was cleared by the NCAA, passed his physical, and will actually starting practicing with the team tonight. Alterio has a lot of international experience after playing with the Venezuelan nation program for several years and will help add to the talented recruiting class that Kiefer and his staff have put together.
The Bulls added talented JUCO star Dom Dwyer (scored lone goal vs. Jacksonville the other night), Kyle Nicholls, Stiven Salinas, and goalkeeper Chris Blais (ALL OF YOUR TRANSFERS!).
This gives Kiefer a great weapon in the center of the field, a player with incredible ability to handle the ball and go on the attack. Combine the transfers and the strong team from last season, the Bulls have a really solid group going forward and will be in contention for the Big East title. They will get back to work next Tuesday night with an exhibition match vs. UT (on campus).
