USF Makes Final 12 for 2012 Offensive Guard

From Rivals.com - Just as college returns, so does high school, which means 2012 prospects will head back to class but continue the recruiting process. One player that has emerged as a top level prospect is offensive guard Duaron Williams (3-stars according to Rivals.com).

Williams, the big 6-4 298-pound star from Orlando, Florida (Jones High School) has been pulling in the offers, but has narrowed his search to 12 final teams. Williams had plenty of offers before trimming the list and who wouldn't want a big guard with a huge frame, a 22" vertical (that's not human) and a 3.5 GPA as well (great student).

The final 12 includes Colorado, Kentucky, Louisville, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Mickey Mouse University, and USF (in no particular order for the schools).

While the competition has been tough for him, USF may have the inside track on winning him over and it is nothing special the coaches and facilities can offer. 2012 commit Chris Bivins, a top cornerback prospect that has been a solid verbal to USF for some time now, is working on recruiting Williams to USF now. Bivins has been active, talking to recent commit Tyler Cameron and working to convince D'Vario Montgomery, a top wide receiver target for the Bulls. Bivins and Williams are good friends and it would be great if they both could play on the same team together.

We will have to see what magic Bivins can pull off and how much Williams would like to play at USF.

  1. I hate UCF as much as the next Bull. You run a good site, the MMU stuff is unnecessary. You represent the University. Speaking as an alum, USF is better than that. Keep up the good work and stay classy Bull Rush.

  2. Trust me, we could be a lot harsher towards them and all the bad stuff that looms over the university and programs. It's a little jab, nothing out there, but we appreciate the support. Sorry if MMU is going to far.

  3. Mickey Mouse University is hilarious & nowhere near what UCF calls us. This is a site about college sports, ribbing is part of the game. Lighten up.

  4. Constructive criticism: remember that you are being linked from the Times. There's probably a better way in taking jabs at UCF, albeit a professional one.

I really enjoy your site as well. Just a couple of other things I've noticed. One, proof read, proof read, proof read before you post your article. Two, I believe the period is on the INSIDE of the parentheses, not the OUTSIDE (but I could be wrong.) Should research before you take my word for it.

Even Greg goofs here and there.

Hey, thanks for all of the Bulls update...and GO BULLS!

  5. Appreciate the criticism. We understand we are linked through the Times and we understand it is a privilege, so nothing beyond crazy is put on here.

The period goes on the outside of the parentheses. I am professional copy-editor so trust me on that one. Mistakes do happen, we admit to that, but we try to edit everything. It is hard working full time and trying to cover everything in a timely manner, but we do the best we can.

    Thanks for reading!

  6. You are absolutely correct on the parentheses. It is quotations where the period goes on the inside.
