The USF men's soccer team couldn't figure anything out against St. Louis tonight as they drop the first match of the weekend 2 to 1 and slip to 3-2-1 on the season.
St. Louis (2-3-0) jumped out in the first half with a goal scored by Kingsley Bryce that was set up Nick Maglasang on the assist in the 35th minute. After that, it was absolutely nothing for either side despite the aggressive attack for the Bulls.
Dom Dwyer had 4 shots on the night, getting a yellow card as well as the Bulls played physical out on the field, but it yielded no results. Sebastien Thuriere took 4 shots on the night as well.
This was not what Kiefer wanted to see as the Bulls returned home after a bad weekend last week and facing an opponent they could and should have beaten. They will next face UC Irvine on Sunday at noon as they try to regroup after this rough match. Hopefully the offense can get it together and get a much needed win.

ReplyDeleteSLU is 2-3 on the year, USF score has them at 4-4, SLU lists USF at 3-2, they are 3-2-1, no one is right.
ReplyDeleteCorrection was made, sorry about that everyone. NeuLion Accu-Score update had score at 1 to 0 when it went final.
ReplyDeleteKiefer is one of most over hyped coaches in college soccer. Team was disorganized from kickoff. Kiefer's teams year after year (except perhaps Boggs years) loses to teams they outplay on the field but with no discipline in front of goal, scoring is anemic.
