Five Ways USF can Win/Lose to Cincinnati

USF returns home to face a Cincinnati team that is loaded with speed and out for revenge for the loss the Bulls gave them in their home stadium last year. The Bulls will be celebrating homecoming, so the Bearcats will be motivated in this game. Let's see how USF can win or lose this game.

5 ways USF can win this game

B.J. Daniels - A regular feature in these posts. Daniels is the x-factor for this team. When he is moving the ball, passing, running, the offense can be dynamic. But if he fails, the team struggles and the Bearcats are not a team you want to fall behind.

Running game - Darrell Scott and Demetris Murray continue to do a solid job in the backfield. They are getting good yardage and help balance the offense. Look for Scott to continue to run hard between the tackles and for Murray to get more on track as the speed back.

Homecoming - USF plays well at home and this is their homecoming game. They will be energized to be back home, playing in front of a great crowd and will need every bit of energy to get the win here.

Lindsey Lamar - Lamar has been quiet in the return game, but producing on passes and runs on offense. Lamar has to get the return game going to not only set the team up for good field position, but to get the crowd amped for the drive and get everyone awake during this noon kick off game.

Offensive line - The line has been solid this season, although the speed rush of Pitt caused issues. They will have to step up again in this game if they want to keep Daniels on his feet and help open up the running game.

5 ways USF can lose this game

Zach Collaros - Collaros can hurt a team with both his legs and arm. The last time he came to Tampa, he ran all over the Bulls. The defense will have to keep their eyes on him all game because of his ability to win everything on his own.

Spread offense - Following the Collaros reason, the spread offense of the Bearcats can put up points on anyone. The Bulls got torched by Pitt and the Bearcats, with a better quarterback, will try to duplicate those results against the defense that wore down in the game.

Revenge - USF won a thrilling game last season in Cincinnati when the Bulls had been struggling, stunning the Bearcats and their fans. Now that their offense is moving again, they will be looking for a little revenge and will try to upset the Bulls during homecoming.

Isaiah Pead - Ray Graham torched the Bulls and Pead, averaging near 6 yards a carry, is looking to duplicate his success. Pead is a very fast runner, getting plenty of carries and finding himself in open space due to the spread offense of the Bearcats. If USF can't shut him down, it will be a very long afternoon.

Speed- After USF wore down at Pitt, teams will try to do the same thing to the defense, wearing them out with speed and tempo. Cincinnati has the personnel and the schemes to do the same thing. They also have great skill players that can tear the defense up if they make one mistake.
