Quick Notes from USF Practice

Linebacker Michael Lanaris and wide receiver Joel Miller both missed practice today, but the injuries are not considered major.

From Adam Adkins - As the Bulls prepare for Rutgers during this bye week, a few notes from the field have emerged.

Wide receiver Terrence Mitchell, who has missed a month recovering from a concussion, has returned to the field, returning punts and playing offense. This is a huge pickup for the team after losing Griffin for the season. Offensive tackle Jake Kaufman was also back out there after being out with back issues.

Two new injuries emerged today. Middle linebacker Michael Lanaris and wide receiver Joel Miller were both held out of practice due to nagging injuries. Holtz stated they were "banged up" and are day to day. At this point in the season, bumps and bruises will mount up and taking a few days to recover is probably the best thing for the players.

Spencer Boyd, who had been working at safety, has moved back to cornerback to help add depth with Ricardo Dixon going down with a torn ACL.
