Time to rush through the women's 2011-2012 basketball roster. Coach Jose Fernandez has a solid team this season and will look to improve on last year.
First player on the list is center Caitln Rowe. Rowe joins the Bulls after playing last season at Gulf Coast Community College.
Caitlin Rowe - 6-4 - Junior - Center
Rowe joins USF after spending last season at GCCC, the same school where she was teammates with Andrell and Andrea Smith. In her first season, she averaged 3.6 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game. The Australian native played well in the paint, getting layups and crashing the boards, something the Bulls need heading into this season.
Rowe will make an immediate impact for Fernandez in her first season. She gives the Bulls an inside presence in the paint, someone who can crash the boards and add in a few baskets a night. She will have to adjust to the up-tempo of the Bulls, but with her athletic ability and height, she will fill in just fine. With the guard play of the Bulls, having a center that can keep up will be huge, especially when Big East play starts.
