The Bulls got a big time win in front of a national audience (ESPNU) with a 3 to 1 victory over the Louisville Cardinals as they continue their strong play through the Big East schedule.
The Bulls got out to a quick start when Kevin Olali scored in the first two minutes of the game to put USF ahead. The Bulls were able to push Louisville with constant attacks in their end of the field, leading to own goals by the Cardinals in the 13th and 19th minutes. The Cardinals were able to score late on a penalty kick, but USF had the lead and wouldn't look back.
The Bulls are now 10-2-2 (5-0-1) on the season, controlling their own destiny in the Big East, leading the Red Division, and getting the attention of the nation with this huge win on the road against a ranked opponent. The Bulls will return home to take on Villanova on Saturday night at 7:30PM.
USF is riding high right now and it's incredible and fun to watch this team take care of business and continue to win against ranked teams and in hostile road environments. We hope they continue to win like this and continue to draw in the people to cheer for this team, one of the most successful teams on the USF campus.
