Despite the rainy conditions, the USF men's soccer team rallied to beat 8th ranked St. John's University last night to improve to 7-2-2 (2-0-1).
SJU got on the board first in the 13th minute, but USF responded in the 24th minute with a goal from Leston Paul. Dom Dwyer put the Bulls up in the 24th minute, until SJU tied it up in the 49th minute. The scoring would be quiet until the 72nd minute when Dwyer connected again for his 10th goal of the season (the man is insane). Coach Kiefer mentioned (from www.gousfbulls.com) that the conditions of the field made strategy hard for both teams. It all came down to intensity and heart to get this win and the Bulls showed their drive out there, getting another huge win over a ranked opponents (4th time this season).
The Bulls will enjoy this win, but will have to prepare fast as they take on DePaul on Wednesday night in another huge Big East match up (game starts at 7:30 PM).
