USF Volleyball Falls to FGCU

After two Big East wins in a row, the Bulls had a tough game tonight as they suffered a 3 set sweep in Ft. Myers to Florida Gulf Coast University. The loss sends the Bulls to an 8-11 record, but they still remain at 4-2 in conference play.

J'beria Davis led the way on the night with 7 kills and 1 dig. Kayla Walton had 6 kills. Andrea Rodriguez Gomez had 4 kills. Valerie El Houssine had a rough night, only getting 3 kills, 1 service ace, and 4 digs (still pretty good for a freshman). Shelbie Dailey led the team with 21 sets. Janice Rivera and Claudia Cabrera had 10 digs each as well.

This was a rough game for the Bulls. They simply couldn't get anything going on counter attacks and were quickly dealt a loss to the Eagles. The Bulls will next travel to DePaul on Friday night as they try to put this loss behind them and get back to the race in the Big East (game starts at 7PM).
