USF Women's Soccer Takes on Marquette

The USF ladies, 6-7-4 (2-5-3), are still fighting for their postseason lives, but will need a huge upset win on the road as they powerful Marquette team. The Golden Eagles are 16-2 (9-1) this season, including 10-0 at home. They are loaded with offense and have a lot of defense, so the Bulls will need a miracle in this game (game starts at 6PM).

Marquette is led by sophomore midfielder/forward Maegan Kelly (5-7). Kelly has 10 goals on the season and 10 assists, doing the scoring and setting up other teammates as well. Senior forward Lindsey Page (5-7) has 5 goals and 5 assists this season.

Sophomore midfielder/forward (5-3) has 6 goals and 1 assist on the season (getting plenty of shots on goal). Sophomore forward/midfielder Kate Reigle (5-5) has 3 goals and 7 assists on the season, setting up a lot of her teammates, spreading the ball around and putting a ton of pressure on opponents. Junior midfielder Birtnye Scott (5-5) has 2 goals and 6 assists. Freshman midfielder Mary Luba (5-8) has 3 goals and 3 assists. Sophomore midfielder/defender Cara Jacobson (5-9) has 4 goals as well.

Senior goalkeeper Natalie Kulla (6-0) is shutting down things in the net. She has allowed just 12 goals (.69 goals per game). She has made 32 stops (.727). Not a lot of shots get through on defense, that's because of the incredible defense of the Golden Eagles.

The Bulls are facing a daunting challenge in this game. Marquette has offense from every spot and finds ways to simply overpower opponents. The Bulls are in desperation mode in these last two games and will have to put everything they have left into this game and try to get the big win as the season comes to an end.
