Five Key Match-ups vs. Syracuse

While every match-up is key in the game, here are some of the top individual match-ups in the game that could determine the outcome.

Chaz Hine vs. Nose Tackle Deon Goggins

Hines has been an anchor in the center of the offensive line, protecting in passing situations and opening up the running game. Goggins has a lot of ability and will to get pressure on Daniels and clog up the running lanes. Hine has to get off the ball and get a solid rush on him to establish the line of scrimmage.

Demetris Murray vs. Syracuse linebackers

Demetris Murray.
With Scott banged up, Murray will be the primary running back and will get his chance, both in the run game and the pass game. The Orange linebackers, such as DyShawn Davis, will be loading up the box and covering him if he gets outside on screen routes. Murray has the speed to create big plays and has the power to run right up the middle.

Deonte Welch vs. Cornerback Keyvn Scott

Welch has come on strong, getting a chance with Griffin out. With the passing game looking for weapons, Welch has become a primary target for Daniels. He is still young and facing a seasoned corner such as Scott, he will have to use his raw skills and speed to get underneath coverages and catch the ball when Daniels gets it to him.

Dede Lattimore vs. Quarterback Ryan Nassib

Lattimore continues to come on late this season, coming away with 2 sacks against Rutgers and getting Big East Honor Roll mentions as well. He is one of the most active players on the USF defense and has to get pressure when Snyder dials up the blitz. He will try to get Nassib down before he can find the receivers down the field.

Kayvon Webster vs. Wide receiver Van Chew

Webster continues to play well at corner, coming up with a great interception last week. He will once again be asked to cover a top receiver in Van Chew. Chew is a top target for Nassib and keeping him locked down will be a key to stopping the Orange offense and getting the Bulls offense back on the field.

So what do you think, what are some of they key match-ups you will be watching during the game?
