Key Match-ups for USF vs. Louisville

Andre Davis has to come up big in this game (Picture: www.tampabay.com)

The Bulls are battling for a bowl game right now and trying to get something going on offense. Here are some of the key match-ups that could decide the game for either side.

WR Andre Davis vs. CB Adrian Bushnell

Davis continues to shine in the starting lineup. He is a reliable target and can get down the field. Bushnell is one of the starting corners that will have to match up with him. Bushnell does not have a lot of take-aways on the season, so Davis should be able to get open and get his receptions, moving the offense down the field.

RB Darrell Scott vs. MLB Dexter Hayman

Scott returned to the lineup last week and ran hard, showing some speed in the passing game as well. Hayman, coming off of a strong performance against UCONN, will patrol the middle of the field and will step up in the box to stop Scott. Scott will have to lower his pads and get the tough yardage.

USF quarterbacks vs. Louisville front 7

Whether Daniels or Eveld get the majority of the snaps, they will have to execute the offense. Whether handing off, making the short passes, or using their legs, the offense has to get something done. Scoring 3 points and punting the ball 9 times will not get a win and will not send USF to a bowl game.

LB DeDe Lattimore vs. QB Teddy Bridgewater

Lattimore got a few sacks against Jacory Harris last week and will look to do the same against Bridgewater. Bridgewater moves well and can run, so if Lattimore comes on a blitz, he has to wrap him up so he can't escape and throw or run down the field.

DT Keith McCaskill vs. RB Victor Anderson

The defensive tackles played well against Miami, especially McCaskill. Victor Anderson is just one of many talented running backs the Cardinals have, but Anderson is the veteran of the group and runs hard. McCaskill and everyone have to get in there and make something happen.
