Victor Rudd will have to come up big against Penn State today. (Picture: www.tbo.com)

The Bulls suffered their first loss of the season as they dropped an overtime decision to ODU. USF, 3-1, now takes on Penn State as they try to get back on the winning track. Penn State got rolled over by Kentucky in their last game, so they enter the game at 3-1 as well (game starts at 2PM).

Penn State is led by junior guard Tim Frazier (6-1 170-pounds). He averages 18.3 points a game, 5.3 rebounds a game, and has 32 assists a game. He scores, rebounds, and runs the offense for them. USF has to shut him down, both in scoring and dishing the ball, if they want to win this game.

Senior guard Cameron Woodyard (6-5 210-pounds) averages 8.3 points a game and 5.5 rebounds a game, giving PSU a solid backcourt with Frazier. Freshman guard Trey Lewis (6-1 180-pounds) is averaging 8 points a game. Junior forward Billy Oliver (6-8 230-pounds) averages 6.5 points a game and 5.3 rebounds a game so he will be a player the Bulls will have to battle inside. Junior forward Sasa Borovnjak (6-9 240-pounds) is averaging 4.5 points a game and 4.3 rebounds a game, another big body in the paint.

USF came close in their last game, but the offense went cold in the second half. USF has the firepower to contend with anyone, especially if Rudd and Gilchrist continue to show up. Dority and Nash have to do more on offense and continue to spread the ball around to get the offense going. USF facing Penn State is a break, compared to facing Kentucky, but no game is easy. Let's pray they get win number 4 on the season.
