The Bulls (0-1) take on Arkansas in the second game of the WBI Tournament (game scheduled for 4:30 PM again). The Razorbacks are 0-1 on the season, dropping the first game 60 to 68 to Minnesota. Arkansas went 22-12 (6-10) last season. They were 1-1 at neutral sites last season, so they will be prepared for this game. Let's see who made a big impact in the first game and who the Bulls will have to deal with in this contest.
Junior Sarah Watkins (6-3) led the way with 18 points and 3 rebounds in the last game and will be a tough player to defend in the paint. Senior guard Lyndsay Harris (5-9) has 17 points and added 3 assists, attacking the rim and distributing the ball in the process. Senior guard C'eira Ricketts (5-9) was just 2-6 shooting for 5 points, but added 3 rebounds and 4 assists in the game. She is one of the top players from last season and could get on a hot streak at any point.
Senior forward Ashley Daniels (6-2) didn't have a point in the game, but came down with 7 rebounds, helping crash the boards. Sophomore forward Keira Peak (5-9) had 2 points, but is always a threat inside the paint. The surprise in the first game was freshman guard Calli Berna (5-10) who had 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in her first action in the NCAA. She will be a player to watch as she looks to build off her great start to the season.
Look for the Bulls to get Caitlin Rowe more touches in the paint. Saunders and Smith have to be more efficient at the guard position and help contribute to the scoring attack.
