Biggest Big East Fan Challenge 4: Pimp My Ride Addition

The Biggest Fan of the Big East Contest rolls on as we begin Challenge 4! Last week, we were challenged to create the ultimate road trip, selecting three college cities to visit all while riding in style in the new Volvo S60. This time, we get to customize our car into the ultimate USF machine!

It's time to do a little pimping for this challenge!

For Challenge 4, Volvo has challenged us to "Create the Ultimate USF Volvo S60--How would you customize a Volvo S60 to show your school spirit? (EXAMPLE: Car magnets, window flags, new paint job, tailgate kit? You can use photos or video of examples of school spirit vehicles.)" So Volvo wants us to create the ultimate USF spirit car, sounds like an episode of Pimp My Ride is about to begin!

So Volvo wants us to customize their S60 into the ultimate USF machine, we got this covered! Showing USF spirit means being intense, showing pride and cheering every second for the GREEN AND GOLD. From the video above, you can see how we handle the the rest of the Big East on the roads of Tampa! A car that shows that intense USF pride, no Big East team stands a chance!

The Volvo S60 is an incredible driving machine, making it the perfect USF pride car!
So we are set out to customize the Volvo S60 into the ultimate USF spirit car. The S60 is an incredible driving machine. The T5 has the turbo charged 2.5 liter engine, hitting 250 HP on the open roads (the R-Design has a V6 with 325 HP, insane speed). A driving machine with this much power is the perfect machine to demonstrate the speed and power of USF.

An engine like that is meant for the open roads, won't find those up North with all that traffic (I wonder if that New Jersey tag belongs to Zlata?)
The S60 is meant for the open roads and there is not a better place than the wide open roads here in Tampa.

Riding in a S60 is like a race car, Rocky has the right idea.
With perfect weather and long highways, the S60 can run wide open, but it still needs a little work, USF style of course.

How good do those racing stripes look?
So to start with, the S60 needs a custom paint job. The paint should match the colors of USF of course, starting with a green base coat and gold racing stripes, embracing the speed and performance of the S60 and the speed and aggressiveness of the USF basketball team. From players like Dominique Jones to Anthony Collins, USF basketball has been built on speed, the same for the S60.

Now we need to add a few decals to the car like the one here.
So we have the custom paint, now it's time to put some more USF style in the car. The custom S60 has the custom paint job, but now it's time to add a few magnets to the side of the car to display the USF logo, letting everyone know who we are!
I didn't want to put anything too crazy on the wheels of this high performance machine, but a USF logo in the center of each rim is just the right touch to make the exterior perfect. Those logos will be spinning down the road as the S60 cruises all over the Tampa area (the car can hit 60 MPH in 6.8 seconds, insane speed, the racing stripes fit it perfectly). Along with the decal on the side as well, the car looks all set from the outside, isn't it glorious?!

With the exterior looking nice, it's time to get to work on the interior of the S60. The S60 is beautiful inside with the leather interior, incredible styling, and the advanced technology inside like the pedestrian detection system (don't want to run over a fellow Big East Fan during a tailgate). The interior is already amazing, but it could use a few USF touches to make it the ultimate pride vehicle.

The first thing that had to be done was to add the USF colors to the seats and a few logos to the steering wheel and shifter, just to give it a little more USF flavor. I also added some green and gold to the gauge clusters as well, just to show that USF basketball is all about speed and performance, just like the S60 (seriously, just watch Anthony Collins for us, insane).

The car is coming together nicely, but it's still missing one thing..what could it be? We have the paint job, logos, and custom interior, but one item is missing...BINGO!

There we go, no pimped out car is complete without something hanging from the rearview mirror! I couldn't add the fuzzy dice to the mirror, just wouldn't go with our awesome style, colors, and theme of the car, but the blinged out bull is just perfect.

So there you have it, the ultimate S60 decked out in USF style! The S60 is a dream machine, both with its horse power and speed, down to the incredible luxury on the inside. With a machine like this, there was not much to we had to add to the car for performance or style, but we made it into the ultimate USF car. From the custom paint, to racing stripes that signify the speed and performance of the S60, to the custom rims with the USF logo in the center, anyone who sees this car coming down the road will know who owns the streets. The interior with the sweet leather interior, didn't need to much to make it truly USF, but the green and gold on the seats, the logos on a few key areas and of course the replacement for the fuzzy dices, the blinged out gold bull swinging.

With an awesome car, there is only on more thing to do, first of course, is to crank up the music!

With the music blasting, time to hit the open roads of Tampa and show the USF pride! Thanks again to Volvo for allowing us to pimp out the S60, now if you'll excuse me, it's time to drive off into the sunset. In case you were wondering, this is how we drive down in Tampa!

  3. Appreciate it, figured the crate video was a good one to add, ties in with the road, cars, etc and the beat down USF gives everyone!

  6. I appreciate that, not the easiest thing to create, but turned out pretty well. Volvo needs to make a car like this one.

  8. Nicely done! You missed a huge opportunity to put "TheBullRush.com" on the car, though.
