USF MBB Drops Awful Game to Auburn 40 to 52

Pretty much sums up the night for the Bulls.
It wasn't a good night for either team as both the men's and women's teams dropped key non-conference road games to Auburn. The men dropped their game 40 to 52, scoring just 20 points in each half. The Bulls shot just 8 of 16 from the free throw line as they continue to struggle to find offense. The Bulls are now 6-5 on the season.

Augustus Gilchrist led the Bulls with 10 points (5 of 10 shooting) all coming in the first half as the Bulls went ice cold in the second half, allowing the Tigers pull away in an ugly game. Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 6 points and 5 rebounds. Shaun Noriega had 5 points, getting the start (wonder if Anderson and Rudd are still sick, might be after this game). Hugh Robertson had 4 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals on the night. Anthony Collins struggled, scoring 7 points, dishing 2 assists, grabbing 3 steals, but turned the ball over 5 times. He will have to get better with the ball by the time conference play starts.

Ron Anderson struggled again, going scoreless and pulling down just 1 rebound off the bench. Victor Rudd had 0 points in his limited minutes. Blake Nash had 8 points off the bench and added one steal.

This was just a game where USF never got off the plane and fell to a bad team in Auburn. USF will have to wake up as they return home on Monday to face Cleveland State (10-1 on the year) at 7PM at the Forum. State beat USF last year, so the Bulls will be looking to repay the favor but after a game like this, it will be a struggle.
