USF WBB Takes on Maryland Eastern Shore

With Andrea Smith redshirting this season (ACL) the Bulls will have to find a way to score points as they prepare for conference play.
The USF ladies, 6-5, are hoping to rebound after a rough 45 to 62 loss to Auburn on Wednesday night. The Bulls battled foul trouble and bad shooting to come up from down 23 points at one point as they dropped a rough game (beat Auburn last year by 18 points). The Bulls are hoping to rebound against a 2-6 UMES team that is struggling to find it's offense. They are shooting just 24% from 3-point range and 30% from the field in general, so USF has a chance to get out to a quick start, but let's see who is lining up for the Hawks (1-4 away from home) (game starts at 2PM at the Rec Center).

The Hawks are led by junior guard/forward Chelsea Sanders (6-1). She is averaging 12.5 PPG and 5.5 RPG. Senior guard/forward Kwimyata Mercer (5-8) is averaging 7.6 PPG and 4.3 RPG (not a lot of explosive shooters for the Hawks on the roster). Senior guard Amber Cook (5-7) is averaging 7.1 points a game, 5.1 rebounds a game, and 2.1 assists per game (doing a little bit of everything like Wynne does for USF).

Senior forward Adobi Agbasi (6-2) is averaging 5.3 PPG and 3.0 RPG. Caitlyn Dillard (in 4 games this season) is averaging 4 PPG and 3.8 RPG. Junior guard/forward Karona Roach (5-8) is averaging 3.8 PPG and 2.9 RPG.

The Bulls dealt with a lot of early foul trouble in the loss to Auburn and will have to play more disciplined basketball as they get ready for the Big East portion of the schedule. UMES is not a great shooting club, but does play solid defense. The Bulls should be able to get a strong win here as they try to get ready for conference play (another game closer to Inga Orekhova being eligible!)
