Alma Mater Weekend: Day 2

It is day two of the alma mater weekend as I make my glorious return to the USF area and prepare for the big game tomorrow against Providence.

Cruising in this car is a dream.

The day began with a trip to campus and a chance to walk around and take some great images of the campus and key highlight areas that make USF the best.

The first stop was the student union, the Marshall Center. The bronze USF Bulls are a great symbol to the tremendous growth of the campus and let's everyone know if you don't run with the stampede, you get run over by it!

Right next to the Marshall Center is the MLK Plaza. The plaza is a covered walk way that is lush and green, situated next to a reflection pond and a memorial to Martin Luther King. It is a very quiet area that students can sit and relax when they visit the area.

After that it was time to head to the new basketball central of USF, the Muma Center. The new Muma center is the heart beat of USF basketball and is the newest addition to athletics. It holds offices, lockers, film rooms, and provides the players with a place where they can get physically stronger and study more of the Big East opponents as they get ready to win more games.

The next image that sits right next to the Muma Center is the home court of the USF Bulls Sun Dome. The Sun Dome is undergoing huge renovations this season, forcing the Bulls to play their home games at the Tampa Times Forum in downtown South Tampa, but once the Sun Dome is complete, it will be the greatest place in the conference to watch a game and of course, more USF wins.

After a great visit to the campus, it was time to get some lunch at great place, Dunderbaks.

Dunderbaks, like I have mentioned in some of the Volvo Challenges, Dunderbaks is the best German food and beer in the area. It is easy to spend hours in this place enjoying the comfortable setting and amazing cuisine in front of you as well.
