The USF ladies, facing the 3rd ranked team in the country, the UCONN Huskies, held their own for most of the game, battling several runs by the Huskies, but came up short in the loss, dropping 62 to 77. They are now 12-10 (4-4) on the season.
Jasmine Wynne had 13 points (4 of 14) with 4 rebounds and 4 assists on the day. Inga Orekhova had 16 points (5 of 11 from 3-point range) with 5 rebounds and 2 steals. Tiffany Conner had 2 points and 5 rebounds. Caitlin Rowe had 20 points and 2 rebounds in one of her best games of the season.
Kaneisha Saunders had 3 points and 3 assists on the day. Sasha Bernard had 5 points and 2 rebounds as well.
The ladies came within 3 points at the end of the first half, but UCONN had just too much firepower for the Bulls as they fell short with their upset bid. The Bulls will now return home to take on WVU on Wednesday night for their next game (game starts at 7PM)
