USF Baseball Drops Second Game of Series to Bethune Cookman

The Bulls lost the second game of the 3-game to Bethune Cookman, dropping the game 3 to 7 and falling to 4-2 to start the season.

Andrew Longley went 1 for 4 with 1 RBI on the day.  Matt Hart went for 1 for 3 as the BC pitching staff shut down the USF offense.  The pitching staff didn't have a solid night with Barbosa starting the game.  Barbosa went 2.1 innings, allowing 3 hits, 3 runs, walking 4 and striking out 5 as he continues to build his arm strength.  Derrick Stultz went 3.2 innings allowing 3 hits, walking 3, and striking out 7 batters (great to see him getting back to the pitching staff).  Devin Smith went 2 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 run and walking 1.

This was an ugly game for the Bulls as the offense failed and the pitching staff, the strength of the team failed to lock down the opponent.  USF will try to win the series tomorrow afternoon at 1PM.
