USF Baseball Beats Georgetown 6 to 1

The offense continued to shine and the pitching staff dominated as the USF Bulls won their second Big East game of the season, taking the second game of the series against the Hoyas 6 to 1, improving their record to 16-8 (2-0) on the year. 

The offense came to life in this game.  Alex Mendez was huge, going 2 for 4 with a home run, driving in two runs, and he scored 2 runs.  James Ramsay went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs.  Jimmy Falla went 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Todd Brazeal went 1 for 4 with a solo home run.  Joey Lovecchio worked 7.2 strong innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 run, walking 3 and struck out 2 batters.  Ray Delphey went 1.1 innings, allowing 1 walk and struck out 2 to end the game. 

This was another huge win for the Bulls, notching another Big East win as they begin their conference run.  The Bulls will look for the series sweep tomorrow at 1PM.
